Accountant II- Grants

Overview Indefinite; expected to last three to six months. This position will supervise the Human Services Plus procurement team (five staff members). This includes coordinating and prioritizing workloads, recruiting new staff as needed and evaluating and assisting staff. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, analytical skills, writing and reading skills, personal leadership skills and the ability to manage complex relationships and strategically coordinate multiple projects in a self-directed manner. The Supervisor must be able to lead from a position of influence and have a high degree of organizational savvy. Customer service, technical assistance and training are also critical functions of this role. To be successful, the Supervisor must be able to develop and maintain a healthy professional rapport with customer leadership, program management and procurement and contract staff. Special Projects Oversee the annual revision to the PCRB and PUR-1 rules. Finalize and implement a suite of CPCA sponsored purchasing trainings. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree with major course work in accounting, finance or a directly related field and three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting or fiscal management experience, including one (1) year of experience leading or supervising the work of others, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A certificate (NIGP or NAPM) as CPPB is desired. This work out of class opportunity is open to all qualified/current regular and probationary Multnomah County employees.
