Define and document quality procedures, inspection plans, and work instructions for sheet metal, mechanical piping, and assembly processes. Establish process audit routines to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Define and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs) including defect rates, rework, first-pass yield, and process capability indices. Develop and implement SPC systems to monitor process variation and identify improvement opportunities. Leverage data analytics to drive corrective and preventive actions, and report quality performance to leadership. Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.). Support lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve process efficiency. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications (e.g., ASME, SMACNA, AWS). Build and lead a skilled quality team of quality inspectors. Provide training and mentorship to quality and production personnel to enhance awareness of quality standards and expectations. What we are looking for 7+ years of experience in quality management within construction, manufacturing, or prefabrication environments. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience considered. Proven experience developing and implementing QMS systems and SPC programs. Proficient in data analytics and SPC tools (Minitab, Excel, Power BI, etc.). Familiar with ISO 9001 principles, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies. Working knowledge of inspection and testing tools (CMM, gauges, NDT, visual inspection, etc.). Experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical pipe welding/fitting, and modular assembly highly preferred.
