Concrete Journeyman

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, as Concrete Journeyman, you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require assisting other tradespeople, including laborers and carpenters.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE

Setting up the forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls. Building forms Pouring concrete raking to proper grade. Grading and prepping subgrade Spreading and smoothing concrete. Tooling expansion joints and edges. Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch. Adding small stones or other materials for decoration. Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work. Install wire welded fabric or re-enforcing bar Ability to operate a skid loader Understand use of a laser level

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred Proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment Up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, with an ability to multi‑task Task‑oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts OSHA 10, preferred Operator’s certificate, preferred Able to lift at least 35 pounds, unassisted, and stand for extended periods Ability to adhere to job specifications and make top‑class finishes in concrete work Pepper Construction is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pepper Construction Group
