Oncology Nurse Educator - Washington, DC

AbbVie seeks an experienced oncology nurse educator to provide disease and product education to allied healthcare professionals across the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia region. The role involves developing customized educational programs, conducting presentations, and collaborating with clinical teams to support patient management on approved oncology therapies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver customized education plans to oncology care teams on product administration, dosing, and adverse event management
• Conduct 1:1 presentations, in-services, and podium presentations on disease state and clinical topics to diverse audiences
• Interpret clinical and pharmacoeconomic data and communicate insights to support patient identification and appropriate therapy selection
• Document customer interactions and educational activities while collaborating with internal sales, marketing, and clinical teams
• Attend regional and local oncology meetings and provide support at exhibit booths as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, NP, PA, or PharmD; Master's degree preferred
• Current active healthcare provider license
• 7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience with recent hematology background
• Experience in academic and/or community oncology practice settings
• Strong presentation, communication, and clinical data interpretation skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and relevant applications
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel 50%
