Air Force, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) SME

Responsibilities is seeking an on-site CWMD SME capable of supporting AF/A10S in the development and implementation of strategy doctrine, policy, guidance, programs, projects, operational research, analysis, and testing relating to the AF CWMD Range of Mission Sets (Non-Proliferation, CounterProliferation, i.e. strike, interdiction, intercept, offensive & defensive counter-air/space, ATSO, air operations, CBRN defense and consequence management). This will be an onsite position at the Pentagon. This position is part of a proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award.Responsibilities:Providing inputs to assist AF/A10S in developing policy and doctrine for AF operations in a CBRN environment and in the execution of National or DoD programs (such as CBRN Survivability). Performing analysis of items of interest by the MAJCOMS, Air Staff/Space Staff, Services, JS, OSD, DoD, CCDRs, and other Federal Agencies to assist in determining its value to the DAF for operational use. Maintaining familiarity with general categories of analytic quantitative assessment, including: Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, Basic Challenge Sources, Attack Characterization, Atmospheric Transport Dispersion Modeling, Chem-Bio Defense (CBD) Equipment Operations, AF Operations, Risk Assessment/Management, Hazard Modeling and Analysis, Detector Capability Analysis, Decontamination Requirements Analysis, Technical Design, and Conduct of Laboratory and Field Testing, which support the development and implementation of the CBRN CONOPS and other supporting efforts.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree & 8 years of relevant experience. Will also consider an Associates & 11 years of experience or an High School diploma 14 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Demonstrated experience with: Operations of current sortie generation Modeling & Simulation (M&S) products.Using and interpreting M&S tools.In-depth knowledge of AF and DoD CWMD and Counterproliferation programsWorking in complex environments with multiple POCs.Analyzing/interpreting CBRN studies for operational impacts (i.e., impact on air and/or space operations/missions.)Technical expertise concerning CBRN science and understanding of the CBRN hazard environment.AF-unique operational experience/expertise in the following mission areas:Fighter/mobility operationsFlightline agile combat supportJoint operations/Air operations planningAF CBRN DefenseCounterproliferation and non-proliferationScientific Analysis and testing of Air PlatformsAdversary use of/potential methods of employment regarding chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weaponsCBRN effects on people, equipment and operationsAF CBRN countermeasure processes**Must be a US Citizen w/ an active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
