Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer
Location: Newport News, VA (Hybrid)

Rockwoods is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, administrators, and engineering teams to build high-quality applications, integrations, and automation solutions that support strategic business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce integrations, and DevOps practices within an Agile delivery environment. This role also includes technical leadership responsibilities, including mentoring team members and contributing to architecture and development standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, and native Salesforce capabilities
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices and enterprise standards
• Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, queueables, and schedulable processes
• Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, and event-driven architectures
• Implement reusable, maintainable, and testable code following established coding standards and governance policies
• Manage and support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Salesforce DevOps processes using tools such as Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Copado, Gearset, or DevOps Center
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure application scalability and performance
• Collaborate with Administrators, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams throughout the SDLC
• Support UAT activities, deployments, and release management
• Maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and integration flows
• Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
• Strong expertise in:
• Apex development
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• SOQL/SOSL
• REST/SOAP integrations
• Salesforce security and data modeling
• Experience with trigger frameworks and Salesforce development best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployment tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications required
• Familiarity with enterprise design patterns and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
• Experience with Experience Cloud and portal development
• MuleSoft integration experience
• Salesforce architecture certifications
• Experience with AI-related Salesforce certifications/tools
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and code quality tools
