- Performs duties to greet and seat guests, takes reservations, and assists guests with special needs.
- Reviews current guest seating assignments and seats new guests according to seating system in each station.
- Anticipates guests coming in and has this information before greeting each guest.
- Greets guests by name whenever possible, makes guest feel welcome, sincerely conveys appreciation for choosing to dine with us, and ushers to the appropriate table.
- Inputs necessary date into seating system and adheres to seating system recommendations.
- Assists staff in duties as requested.
- Assists guest with special requests or needs.
- Monitors restaurant operations, notifying the supervisor of problems, needs, or guest comments.
- Ensures menus are clean and contain appropriate panels and information.
- Ensures light levels, music levels, and temperature levels are perfect and adjusts accordingly.
- Offers a sincere send off to each guest ("Good night, thank you for coming in,""Good luck") and welcomes them back ("Come back soon").
- Other duties as assigned.
- Equivalent to a High School education with knowledge of food service is preferred.
- Must understand and speak the English language fluently.
