ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry, experience in titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications, and proficiency in chest tube management. This position requires a high level of dedication to patient care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage critical care interventions.
• Administer medications, including vasoactive and inotropic agents.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central line, arterial line placement, and chest tube placements.
• Conduct bedside shift reports and update MyCare boards regularly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Previous experience in a critical care or ICU setting.
• Strong telemetry skills and previous experience with chest tubes preferred.
• Experience with open heart procedures and Swan-Ganz catheter management is a plus.
