Compensation: $38–$41 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday–Friday with weekend rotation

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a 74-bed skilled nursing facility in Skowhegan, Maine .

The facility provides a broad range of services, including post-hospital and short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care , giving you the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and build a well-rounded clinical skill set.

This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with a weekend rotation . You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping patients regain function, maintain independence, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and identify functional limitations

• Develop individualized physical therapy plans of care

• Provide skilled interventions based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals

• Treat patients recovering from hospitalization as well as those receiving long-term or respite care

• Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed

• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and safety

• Collaborate with nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Promote safe mobility, independence, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree

• Current Maine Physical Therapist license

• Strong communication and clinical skills

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach

• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing environment

• Strong organizational and documentation skills
