A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.This corporate finance professional will be supporting corporate coverage across an industry vertical lending business. A critical function of the role is to assess risk factors associated with a credit profile to determine an appropriate risk rating and credit hold level based on established policies and guidelines. Responsibilities will include, without limitation, supporting the active credit management of a designated client portfolio, utilizing sound analytical and credit validation skills.The incumbent will provide continuous oversight of designated client portfolio names, monitoring for changes in the respective credit profiles (i.e. potential upgrading, downgrading, and credit deterioration) with the goal of maximizing net income and reducing associated credit costs.Responsibilities: Support the management of a commercial loan portfolio within a segment of an industry verticalPerform due diligence and regularly scheduled evaluations of their assigned loan portfolio, which is subject to change relative to the client portfolioSupport the preparation of detailed credit analyses and required credit applications in accordance with and pursuant to policy, including the evaluation of corporate, regulatory and industry risk, historical operating performance, projected operating performance and capital structureEnsure timely coordination and communication of account information across various constituencies throughout the organizationMaintain a thorough understanding of macro-level country/risk factorsMaintain current knowledge of relevant industries, including all current events pertaining to an assigned portfolio utilizing internal and external sourcesFor assigned accounts, provide oversight of covenant compliance, facility closing due diligence, legal documentation and ongoing monitoring of credit conditions, if anyAttend RM customer meetings as appropriateSpecial projects as assignedAdvanced Credit/Underwriting Solutions:Work within a deal team environment supporting Senior Portfolio Managers in the development and analysis of financing structures/strategies to support/identify LBO, M&A and Corporate re-capitalization opportunitiesPre-screen proposed transactions to identify critical structural issues and risks, balancing institutional policy with business development needsWork on structured credit transactions (including Financial Solution opportunities, securitizations, supply chain, specialized leasing transactions, and up-tier proposals)Understand and maintain base industry knowledge of industries represented in the portfolio, including technical aspects, regulatory issues and unique credit product activityParticipate in client and bank meetings as necessaryPolicy and Deal Advocacy: Support Senior Portfolio Managers in communicating and/or negotiating with CDA for transaction approval, including final hold level strategies to ensure alignment of risk strategy and policyEvaluate and establish appropriate ratings for transactions and correlate appropriate exposure levels at both the transaction and group levelEnsure compliance with policy and regulatory requirementsSkills and Experience:1-2 years of substantive portfolio management, corporate credit, and/or other similar experience with an emphasis on credit and analytical experienceCompletion of a formal credit-training program at a money center bank is preferredBachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related discipline CFA is an assetAble to work independently and under pressureStrong written, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical, financial, and balanced decision-making skillsAdvanced financial modeling skills are required, including those required for credit applications and Quarterly Credit Watch presentationsThe typical base pay range for this role is between $100K-$110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role will be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
