Sibelco is a global provider of specialty industrial minerals seeking a Human Resources Business Partner located in Charlotte. Responsibilities Provide strategic and tactical human resources business partner support to management and employees across multiple locations. Act as the point of contact for HR‑related processes, issues, and questions for client groups. Track and report on key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing and other activities. Understand the business, be closely aligned with the operations management team, and serve as a trusted advisor. Support the implementation and administration of HR programs and processes including, but not limited to, strategic staffing, succession planning, talent management, and performance management. Manage compensation, benefits, and training initiatives. Lead employee training and development as outlined in the HR training strategy. Handle employee relations matters, including coaching and counseling managers and employees to improve performance. Conduct confidential workplace investigations and actively manage performance issues to resolution. Identify workforce requirements in consultation with business leaders and drive programs for talent attraction and retention with the HR team. Partner effectively with HR and functional teams to ensure business needs are met. Lead and/or execute HR projects and initiatives to drive the business forward. Ensure compliance with the company’s HR policies, processes, and practices. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state (especially California) and local employment practices and labor laws. Exercise influence through ongoing development of internal and external relationships across the organization. Act as a role model for the company’s ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a 4‑year accredited college or university. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of HR business partner experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior partner role. Ability to work with all levels of the company, from front‑line employees to senior leadership. Strong consultative and customer‑service skills, with the ability to perform as a trusted advisor. Ability to problem solve and proactively offer a variety of options and solutions to issues. Strong knowledge of California employment and wage laws. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and respond to changing demands from multiple sources. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as a team member. Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Potential travel up to 35% to domestic locations.
