Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit in an acute care setting
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and document medications safely, with competency validated via safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules
• Accurately track and submit hours worked through the designated time-keeping platform

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• NIHSS certification required — must be willing to obtain prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — Charge RN references accepted; co-worker references will not be considered
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; up to 2 attempts permitted
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience within a single facility or location
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting
• Experience working within a large health system environment
