About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with a focus on transactional law and contracts to join their dynamic legal team. This high-impact role involves serving as a strategic partner and trusted advisor across global operations, with a primary responsibility for strategic contract leadership. The successful candidate will be adept at reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial, financial services, and technology-related contracts to support the company's business objectives. Additionally, the role requires providing business-ready advice, managing legal risks, and ensuring compliance with a variety of legal issues, including those specific to financial services regulations. Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, active bar membership, and at least 5 years' of relevant transactional experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work. Experience in financial services or related regulated industries is preferred. The role also demands a professional who is skilled in legal and contract analysis, and who can translate legal risk into practical, business-ready recommendations. A key aspect of the position is the ownership and modernization of the contract lifecycle management program, with a focus on integrating AI tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
