Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients who need to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility/function. How You’ll Contribute Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provide services to patients to improve mobility and function, employ appropriate modalities, monitor responses, document progress, educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning. Education & Credentials Education: Associate’s degree required; graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program required. Licenses: Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of KY. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS). Essential Functions Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities; seek consultation as necessary. Monitor patient’s responses to the treatment plan and communicate progress and goal revisions regularly to the physical therapist. Document services provided and patient response/progress. Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assist with patient discharge planning and provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support program.
