Assistant Store Manager - Montville (West Central, NJ)

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as Assistant Store Manager for our Montville, New Jersey location. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer experience, driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining compliance with all banking regulations. Responsibilities Lead a team of advice and service colleagues, setting performance objectives and providing coaching and feedback. Drive and reinforce proactive advice activities, ensuring that the team delivers personalized financial guidance and product recommendations to customers. Manage day‑to‑day teller line and platform operations, ensuring efficient, compliant delivery of services. Oversee complex sales and advice processes that involve multiple steps, systems, and partners. Handle critical and high‑risk issues, determining appropriate resolution and taking actions to prevent recurrence. Participate in community events and outreach to promote the TD Brand and service local needs. Maintain optimal staff scheduling and store environment to meet customer demand and regulatory requirements. Support operational compliance, including vault management, audit readiness, and process improvement initiatives. Design and execute employee development programs, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to corporate policies, sub‑ledger integrity, and cash‑management procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of customer‑facing or sales experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with banking products and services. Knowledge of banking operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated customer‑service excellence and ability to coach a team. Experience with risk management, audit processes, and operational excellence. Active NMLS registration (Mortgage Loan Originator) and Notary License preferred. Capability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment with occasional travel. EEO Statement T.D.
