Transform Lives Through Communication in Grand Prairie – Become Our Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that not only fulfills your professional aspirations but also gives voice to the human experience. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the inviting community of Grand Prairie, your role extends far beyond diagnosing and treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will play an instrumental part in unlocking potential, nurturing confidence, and fostering connections among individuals — from young children discovering their voice to elderly clients seeking to regain their independence.
Here lies an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse spectrum of age groups in a welcoming environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your expertise lies in pediatric speech development, adult communication challenges stemming from neurological conditions, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find varied and meaningful work here.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric categories through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that focus on both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
Implement personalized therapy sessions aimed at enhancing language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
Work collaboratively with a dynamic team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care approaches.
Provide practical education to patients and their families to support ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
Keep precise and timely documentation that complies with relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed of advancements and collaborating with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been obtained.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for clients of all ages, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing.
Exceptional communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adept at adjusting therapy techniques to cater to varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and accommodate diverse caseloads.
Opportunities for specialization in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages.
Support for continued learning including reimbursement for educational opportunities.
A supportive, collaborative work environment that prioritizes patient care and professional growth.
A Career of Impact Awaits You
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you won't just deliver therapy — you will join a shared mission to amplify voices, enhance communication, and foster joyful moments through the deepest of human connections: understanding one another.
In this community-focused atmosphere, you'll collaborate with colleagues who treat each other with warmth and support, sharing the belief that working together leads to better outcomes for our patients. Each patient comes with their own history and narrative: we trust you to help provide the words that define their journey.
Why Grand Prairie is Your Ideal Work and Life Destination

Flanked by beautiful parks and rich cultural experiences, the city invites exploration and enjoyment as you transition from day to evening. Residents take advantage of everything from scenic trails to stirring live performances at local venues.
On weekends, families can be found basking in lush parks or enjoying the lively atmosphere of community events. Food lovers indulge in a culinary landscape that stretches from beloved local eateries to upscale dining experiences. The spirit of the community is alive in each festival, art gallery, and neighborhood gathering — a celebration of diversity and creativity.
Professionally, the advantages here go beyond the inviting lifestyle; the lack of state income tax, affordable living expenses, and the thriving healthcare scene provide fertile ground for successful careers to flourish.
If you're fresh out of school or an experienced clinician looking to diversify your practice, Grand Prairie offers an inspiring backdrop for personal and professional growth.
Your Role in Our Community
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist motivated by the potential for impact as much as by clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate perceives a quiet child as a canvas for self-expression, and hears the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor as a call to resilience.
Whether you are specialized in working with children looking to expand into the adult sector or a neuro-focused therapist wanting to bring early intervention into your skill set, we are prepared to welcome you with open arms.
If you are ready to make a difference with compassion and expertise, we want to hear from you.
Let's Connect and Create Together
If you believe speech transcends the mere sound of words, and therapy is more profound than a list of tasks — and if you cherish the importance of building relationships and sowing joy alongside goals — this could be the perfect opportunity for your next chapter.
Join us in a community centered around the values of communication, connection, and the tremendous courage to begin anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our team and assist others in discovering theirs.
