Trial Attorney

Trial Attorney Position Our client, a well-established plaintiff personal injury law firm in Clifton, NJ, is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join their growing litigation team. This role is ideal for a confident and strategic attorney with a strong background handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters from intake through verdict. The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while delivering exceptional client advocacy. Key Responsibilities Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from pre-litigation through trial Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses Evaluate liability, damages, and case strategy Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and trial exhibits Collaborate with legal staff and junior attorneys on case development Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the litigation process Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in New Jersey 5+ years of litigation and trial experience Strong preference for candidates with plaintiff personal injury experience Proven courtroom and first-chair trial experience preferred Excellent negotiation, analytical, and advocacy skills Ability to manage cases independently in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills Preferred Experience Motor vehicle accidents Premises liability Catastrophic injury cases Wrongful death litigation Insurance negotiations and settlement strategy Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus bonus potential Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment
