Assignment Details Start Date: October 26, 2026 Contract Length: October 26, 2026 - January 1, 2027 Schedule: Primary need is weekend rounding and call coverage Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 8:00 AM STEMI call included Weekend rounding: typically Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Call is remote and in person depending on patient needs Routine call is typically handled by phone STEMI cases require the provider to report in person Coverage Model: Weekend Interventional Cardiology coverage Inpatient rounding Remote and in-person call STEMI coverage APP support Weekend daytime APP support Position Highlights October 26, 2026-January 1, 2027 Weekend rounding and call coverage Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 8:00 AM weekend call Saturday and Sunday rounding, typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM STEMI coverage required Remote call with in-person STEMI response Approximately 18-28 patients per day at one facility Up to 20 patients per day at another facility Weekday support from 3 General Cardiologists and 1 Interventional Cardiologist APP support Weekend daytime APP support Cath/PCI TEE Cardioversion Board Certified required Active Florida license required Clinical Details & Responsibilities Practice Setting: Hospital Inpatient Interventional Cardiology Clinical Responsibilities: Provide Interventional Cardiology coverage Round on inpatient Cardiology patients Provide weekend rounding Saturday and Sunday Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients Provide weekend call coverage Respond to Cardiology-related phone consultations Respond to STEMI emergencies Report to the hospital for STEMI cases when required Perform Cath/PCI procedures Perform TEE procedures Perform cardioversion Coordinate care with General Cardiologists and APPs Document patient care appropriately Patient Volume Approximately 18-28 patients per day at one facility Up to 20 patients per day at another facility Patient volume may vary depending on the facility and daily census Procedures Cardiac catheterization PCI TEE Cardioversion Call Responsibilities Call Type: Remote and in-person Call Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM-Monday 8:00 AM Call Scope: Weekend Cardiology call STEMI coverage Phone consultations Emergency Cardiology needs In-person STEMI response Routine call is typically handled by phone. If a STEMI occurs, the provider is required to report to the hospital in person. Support & Team During the weekday, the service is supported by three General Cardiologists and one Interventional Cardiologist. APP support is also available. Weekend daytime call coverage is supported by one APP. Requirements Board Certified - Required Active Florida Medical License - Required Interventional Cardiology experience - Required Ability to provide weekend rounding Ability to provide weekend call coverage Ability to respond in person for STEMI cases Ability to perform Cath/PCI procedures Ability to perform TEE and cardioversion Credentialing An active Florida medical license is required.
