Registered Nurse - Medical - Surgical (Telemetry)

Facility: Lahey Hospital and Medical Center Position Description: Contract Guarantee hours= 72 Hours Biweekly on all Assignments these guaranteed hours do not include any "on-call" time worked Comments And Notes: BILH coversheet required at time of submission. 12H nights, 7p-7:30a. Must have level 1 trauma experience, BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, MA license required. Must have 2 years of experience. Epic experience required. Day one pass/fail testing will be administered. Relias practice tests will be available via Relias. Every other weekend will be required. (Weekends for days - Sat and Sun, weekends for nights will be Fri, Sat, Sun). 7 central unit - ortho, neuro, trauma and MS. 38 total beds in unit. Prior travel is preferred, but level 1 trauma required. Ratios: 4-6:1 on days, 5-6:1 on nights. Travelers are first to float. Could be floated to MS inpatient and ED. Patient population includes ortho, neuro, trauma, complex medical patients, hip precautions, CSpine precautions, TLS, Craniotomies, spinal fusions, laminectomies, total joint replacements, TBIs, traumatic falls, etc. Equipment: Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, lumex, PCAs, CADD pumps, peripheral nerve catheters. Herapin, diltiazem and morphine drips. Can do IVs and phleb, but have services available also. Typically do their own breathing treatments. You may work with and encounter students and new hires often. We expect all team members, including travelers, to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires. Must be separated from BILH for a min of 6 months to be considered (perm, per diem, contract).
