Chief Estimator, Estimating Manager

We’re partnering with a well-established, high-volume commercial general contractor to hire a Chief Estimator/Estimating Manager (DOE) to lead and support a growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment where estimating is at the core of the business. Ideal for someone coming out of a general contractor who thrives in high-volume bid environments and knows how to drive accuracy, efficiency, and team performance. What you’ll be doing: Lead and mentor a team of estimators (while staying hands-on in the work) Manage the full estimating lifecycle from concept through award Drive bid strategy, subcontractor coverage, and risk mitigation Partner closely with Project Management on bid reviews and execution Improve processes, efficiency, and overall estimating performance What we’re looking for: 10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience (GC required) Experience with retail, restaurant, or high-volume project environments Proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast-paced setting Strong leadership skills with a willingness to roll up your sleeves Experience with tools like Bluebeam and similar estimating platforms.
