Surgical TechnologistWe are looking for a Surgical Technologist at Howard Memorial Hospital. We are a critical access hospital located in Nashville, Arkansas. We provide comprehensive patient-focused care in a variety of settings—emergency, surgical, inpatient and outpatient—delivered by skilled medical professionals. Our not-for-profit status ensures that all financial resources remaining after expenses are re-invested in the hospital to improve technology, the facility and patient services. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team. In a small critical access hospital, this role requires flexibility, independence, and the ability to support a variety of surgical cases with limited staff.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and available.Set up operating rooms according to procedure requirementsAssist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs.Position patients and assist with surgical draping.Operate and troubleshoot basic surgical equipment.Perform instrument counts and ensure compliance with safety protocols.Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures.Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.Support additional clinical duties as needed in a small hospital setting.QualificationsCompletion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.Certification (e.g., CST) preferred or required per facility policy.Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Equal Opportunity Employer
