About the Role:

Kaleidoscope Child Care Center in Bridgeville, PA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Head Preschool Teacher to lead our vibrant early childhood classroom! Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans and curricula for preschool-aged children

Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play

Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides

Monitor and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates to families

Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians through daily interactions and conferences

Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and child care health and safety standards

Collaborate with center staff and administration to support program goals and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed preschool or child care setting

Knowledge of PA state child care regulations and NAEYC developmentally appropriate practices

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong classroom management and early childhood curriculum development skills

Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children

Ability to pass required background checks per Pennsylvania child care licensing requirements
