Radiologic Technologist - El Paso!

Pay and Schedule 4–10hour shifts 1:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. (Wednesday through Saturday) Pay Rate: $28.00–$30.00, based on experience Role Provide mobile X‑Ray and EKG (if applicable) service to nursing homes, health care facilities, and other miscellaneous facilities. Tasks and Responsibilities Perform and process X‑Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a radiologist for interpretation. Unload portable X‑Ray equipment and transport it to facilities to perform exams ordered by physicians, obtaining clinically diagnostic, technically competent images. Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a cardiologist for interpretation, when required. Scan exam related paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol. Regularly communicate with dispatch and management. Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients. Maintain vehicle and X‑Ray equipment. Duty and Responsibility Statements Login for self‑dispatching or call into dispatch to obtain information regarding the beginning caseload. Arrive at first case or location, picking up the company vehicle at the start of the assigned shift or having left house 30minutes prior. Wear company uniform, name tag, radiation badge, and follow dress code. Carry company‑provided phone on person. Respond to urgent communication within 15minutes. Check voicemail/text messages from each client facility upon completion of assigned case(s); check at least every 30minutes or as necessary. Check for available cases via self‑dispatching system and/or check in with dispatcher every 30minutes. Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy against the items listed in the patient’s chart as ordered by the physician; examine validity before proceeding. Verify patient identity by requesting two identifiers (e.g., name and date of birth); if patient cannot identify, nurse in charge must identify. Before forwarding images to tele‑rad, confirm correct patient images and patient information are marked. Practice proper radiation protection at all times; use issued protective equipment. Maintain professional conduct, complying with the Associate Handbook and company policies on alcohol, substances, weapons, and drug‑free workplace. Follow code of conduct; do not refuse assigned cases regardless of location. Communicate ETA only to referral site; no unrelated calls. Record all hours worked accurately in the timesheet. Maintain company vehicles per policy; respect speed limits and traffic laws. Pay all motor‑vehicle tickets, including parking and speeding, if company vehicle is used. Maintain valid driver’s license and provide documentation to TridentCare personnel; allow periodic checks. Obtain medical physical, TB screening, and infection‑control in‑service at hire and annually; submit documentation within two weeks of the last exam. Assist with patient transfers only if mandated by facility staff; technologist generally does not perform transfers. Required Skills Maintain required state licenses and/or ARRT certification, health requirements, and operational requirements. Valid driver’s license in the applicable state in good standing. Attend meetings as required. Connect and disconnect Holter monitors when applicable. Care for equipment professionally; report malfunctions immediately. Perform special projects or duties assigned by supervisor/manager. Train other technologists as required. Be self‑motivated, dependable, and work independently with little supervision. Licenses & Certifications: ARRT (required), Driver’s license (required), CRT/State X‑Ray (required).
