Make a genuine difference in the lives of elementary students with a rewarding school-based position for a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on-site, supporting young learners at a single elementary school over the course of the academic year.

This half-time opening is ideal for speech professionals seeking a consistent school-based assignment while balancing other commitments. You'll partner closely with education staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans, track progress, and foster communication skills that empower students academically and socially.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Virginia SLP license required
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, families, and support staff
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document progress
• District requires completion of a TB test and on-site background check (facilitated with HR)
• Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability to support a diverse elementary caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech/language therapy to elementary-aged students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with families, educators, and special service teams
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings as required
