Job Title RN-Registered Nurse / PCU - Progressive Care Unit Contract: On-site Start date: 6/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule Night Shift: 12 hours/day, 3 days/week (1900-0700) Shift rotation: 36 shifts per cycle Weekend rotation: Every other week No on‑call or call‑back requirements Holiday expectations: 75% of holidays Floating: Region 3 (Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Central Division) About Facility Location: Shelby, NC 28150 Licensed beds: 241 Level 3 Trauma Center Certified Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Teaching hospital: No Unit Information Bed count: 32 Minimum experience: 18 months PCU RN experience First‑time travelers accepted: Yes Patient Types/Diagnoses Patients not requiring mechanical ventilation – CHF, dysrhythmia, chest pain workup, stroke, abdominal illnesses and infections, respiratory illness, diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc. Patient Ratios RN:1:4 (most common); RN:1:5 possible based on acuity Required Licensure & Certifications BLS ACLS NIHSS Skills Required Tracheostomy care Cardiac glucose therapy experience Cardiac rhythm interpretation Chest tube management Blood product management Wound care/dressing changes Central line management Support within Department CNA – ADL support Receptionist/HUC (day shift only) Charge nurse – resource Phlebotomy (other than nurse draws) IV/VAT team RT, 24/7 Hospitalist, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurse station Technology/Equipment EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Philips Floating Within region and scope of practice (Region 3) Mid‑shift floating paid for travel time (remains on clock) Orientation NEO 2 days departmental orientation Scheduling Weekend rotation: every other week No call Holiday expectations: 75% of holidays RTO: up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time at contract end if not met Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other Notes Scrub color: navy Parking: free Unit culture: family oriented EEO Statement TalentBurst is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workforce. #J-18808-Ljbffr
