The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the organization's mission to deliver impactful AI solutions to the 3.5 billion people living in poverty globally. This role is pivotal in setting programmatic strategy, building and mentoring high-performing teams, and ensuring a strong learning architecture for all programs. The Chief Program Officer will be responsible for designing and running rigorous pilots, staying abreast of the latest AI developments, and partnering with technical and research teams to ground AI-powered approaches in evidence and local realities. Additionally, the role involves building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and representing the organization at senior levels in various forums. Applicants for the Chief Program Officer position should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in global health, international development, or related fields, with a proven track record of scaling complex initiatives in low and middle-income countries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program and organizational development, experience with AI in relevant sectors, and a successful history of fundraising. Familiarity with the operational landscape of African and/or Asian governments and the ability to bridge technical and programmatic worlds are essential.
