Sales Engineer (Robotics) (New York City Metropolitan Area)

UFactory USA brings UFactory collaborative robotic arms, including the xArm 5, 6, 7, Lite 6, and UFactory 850, to customers across the U.S. Our customers range from leading research labs to fast-moving startups building the next generation of automation. We’re a small, hands-on team, so everyone here has a direct impact on how the business grows.

The role

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who enjoys both the technical and the customer side of the work. You’ll be the person prospective customers meet when they want to see what our arms can do. You’ll answer their questions and help them figure out which robot fits their application. You’ll also help keep orders moving once they’re placed. The role mixes demos, technical consulting, event work, and operations. This is a full-time role based out of our Midtown office in NYC. We are not considering relocation at this time.

What you’ll do

• Run live and virtual product demos for customers, tailored to their use case and technical background
• Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify leads, and recommend the right arm, grippers, and accessories
• Represent UFatory at local events and national trade shows, including setting up and running demo stations
• Coordinate shipping and logistics for orders, demo units, and event equipment
• Keep customer records, opportunities, and follow-ups up to date in our CRM (Hubspot)
• Pass customer feedback on to the team to help shape our product offerings and support

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role
• Working knowledge of CRM tools and a disciplined approach to pipeline management
• Comfort explaining technical products to audiences from PhD researchers to purchasing managers
• Strong organization and follow-through, especially in a small-team environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and customer visits

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robotics, cobots, or automation equipment
• Familiarity with Python, ROS, or robot programming environments
• Experience selling into research institutions, universities, or government labs
