START Service Technician (Fall 2026)

Start ProgramThe START program is a 16-week intensive EV service training program designed for those with existing automotive experience. During the program, candidates will develop technical expertise and earn certifications through a blended approach of in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning. Candidates will strengthen their soft skills through team-based repair practices.ResponsibilitiesDedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week to training, including active participation in service center shadowing for practical experienceEngaging in instructor-led training to develop a comprehensive understanding of Tesla vehiclesCollaborate within a team environment during both lab and lecture activitiesPrioritize safety by adhering to established protocols at all timesMaintain organization by ensuring proper tooling managementEffectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet weekly curriculum objectives and deadlinesUphold a consistent and professional rapport with instructorsRequirementsAttend and pass each of the 16-week training sessions with an 80% or higher GPAValid driver's license required, and must be capable of reporting to both the START training location and local service centerMust be willing to relocate upon successful completion of the program and accept employment at a Tesla Service Center within 30 days of graduation from the programAbility to lift up to 60 poundsMust follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detailBe able to work in a team-based environment and have a "safety first" attitudeFamiliar understanding of the English language, basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Compensation & BenefitsBenefitsAs a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for:Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deductionFamily-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefitsDental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
