Quote Specialist

United Utility Supply, headquartered in Louisville, KY, is recognized as one of the leading material supply organizations serving the rural electric market. UUS is owned by member cooperatives in 20 states. As a full line stocking distributor, UUS supplies a complete line of materials critical to the electric utility industry. This includes transformers, conductors, pole line hardware, lighting, underground accessories, grounding equipment, guying, insulators, protective equipment, distribution and transmission poles, utility tools and safety supplies. Quote Specialist UUS is currently in search of a Quote Specialist. This role would support the procurement and sales departments by managing the vendor quoting process including recording, requisition, and analysis of quotes. Daily work would include working with operations to generate product setup sheets for new items needed to fulfill purchase orders. This position would be assisting in other procurement-related activities such as processing drop ships and working with customer consigned inventory. All work is performed under the general supervision of the Procurement Supervisor and the VP of Operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 2 years procurement or quotations experience Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) Highest level of attention to detail; accuracy and quality is critical Technical working knowledge of Microsoft office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to use internet-based business-related computer programs Experience with ERP or Inventory Systems preferred Working in a collaborative environment and prioritizing deadlines Focused effort on quality in an, at times, repetitive workflow Benefits Paid time off 401(k) with company match Company funded pension plan Health, dental, vision, and company paid life insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr United Utility Supply
