Seasonal Assistant Coach - Women's Lacrosse

Salary Details The pay range for this position is a bi-weekly rate of $1,200 - $1,500 based on qualifications and years of experience. This position will work 17 hours per week during the non‑championship and championship segments of the women’s lacrosse varsity sport season (September‑November and February‑June). Overview Under the direction of the Head Coach, this role uses athletics to educate college students, building character and life skills. The position serves as a teacher and mentor for student‑athletes throughout their four years at Harvard. Responsibilities Assist in planning, directing and coaching the women’s lacrosse intercollegiate program. Develop student‑athlete skills, help plan and execute practices, support in‑game management, and coordinate team programming. Analyze video for scouting opponents and team development. Participate in on‑campus recruiting and retain talent in alignment with excellence and inclusion values. Support academic integration for the team, as appropriate. Execute team strategy, logistics, and operational direction under supervision. Engage in professional development activities and embrace innovation. Communicate effectively with coaching staff and athletics administrators. Essential Functions Manage athlete team responsibilities. Operate in complex environments and moderate difficulty problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. At least 1 year of lacrosse coaching and/or playing at the collegiate, professional, or elite level. Substantial sport‑specific knowledge and understanding of Harvard and Ivy League athletics philosophy, principles, and policies. Valid driver’s license preferred. CPR and First Aid certification required. Physical & Working Conditions Must be able to lift equipment associated with the sport. Some evening and weekend work required. Work in extreme environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and high noise levels. Work Format On‑site.
