East Carolina Anesthesia Associates is the preeminent anesthesia group in North Carolina and we want you to join our growing team! We are seeking ambitious and driven anesthetists to join our team at ECU Health due to site and department expansions in care, including new ORs being added to the surgery center, ECU Health Surgicenter.

This position provides anesthetics for ECU Health Medical Center. CRNAs manage all anesthetics with extreme autonomy, while practicing in an ACT setting. We offer high patient acuity allowing the new CRNA and/or experienced CRNA to fully implement their clinical skills and education, and continue to expand within any area of expertise that may be desired. CRNAs may chose to participate in the clinical instruction of anesthesia students via our on-campus program. All surgical specialties are presented and all surgical procedures are performed excluding some transplants and extreme burn cases. It is the CRNA that manages all anesthetics; with encouraged and supported autonomy in practice.

We are offering up to $100,000 in student tuition assistance and stipend payment program, or a signing bonus, with a 4-year commitment or, $70,000 in tuition assistance or signing bonus for a 3-year commitment. Almost all of the stipend is paid in full prior to start date.
For experienced CRNAs, we offer the same amount as the stipend in the form of a bonus. Please inquire today if interested.

Education and Experience

• Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or in the process of completing the certification through an accredited CRNA program.
• Current or compact RN license in the state of North Carolina, or able to obtain NC licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

• Ability to provide safe pre-and post-anesthetic care using innovative and proven techniques.
• Ability to assess patients’ medical history and plan anesthesia administration for the best outcome.
• High patient acuity with the ability to provide compassionate care to every patient.
• Ability to work in a team, but also autonomously when needed.
• Strong written and oral skills with the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
• Proficient with technology including medical equipment and computers.
• Maintain a friendly, collaborative attitude and professional demeanor at all times.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Must have the ability to stand for longer periods of time and be accustomed to frequent and prolonged movement.
• Involves frequent contact with patients, physicians, leadership, facility, and medical office staff.
• Ability to perform work in a hospital where the environment may be stressful and often disruptive.
