Hot Shot Driver

Purpose of Job The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested and assists with warehouse operations and Route Managers. Responsibilities Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed. Load and unload batteries. Perform general warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers. Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner. Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies. Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned, and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation. Accurately complete reports and claims. Interact professionally with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, and customers. Follow/fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager. Perform other duties as assigned. Work under general supervision and guidance. Be accountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front‑counter customer service. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and do basic math. Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems. Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools (tablets, scanners) is required. Must have a clean driver’s record and meet driver qualification requirements. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift. Work Environment Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Repetitive lifting and consistent sitting, standing, and walking. Specific vision abilities: close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance, occasionally up to 75 lbs. Exposure to road hazards when operating or riding a vehicle. Exposure to battery warehouse conditions, such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
