Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring strong interventional and STEMI experience, EP device proficiency, and an active on-call commitment.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit
• Procedures performed include: Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, Rotablator, pacemaker/defibrillator device placement, stents, thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, and PCI
• EP device experience required
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (shift times vary: 6:30–17:00 or 7:00–17:30)
• On-call required: 10 shifts per month, including weekend call and after-hours call rotation
• No New Year's Eve shift required
• Cerner charting system — experience required
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license — IN or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Strong experience with interventional procedures and performing STEMI required
• Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency with EP devices required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• RN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are eligible at a modified pay package
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month separation period before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
