Pay: $19.00 - No Shear and Brake experience
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour with Shear and Brake experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are currently hiring an experienced Shear & Brake Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Orlando! This is a great opportunity for someone with strong metal fabrication experience who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with measurements and production equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate shear and press brake machinery to cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, drawings, and production instructions.
- Accurately measure materials and finished products using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
- Set up and operate equipment while making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions, angles, and overall quality.
- Safely load, position, and remove materials from machinery.
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.
- Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a shear and press brake is a plus.
- Must be proficient at reading a tape measure.
- Ability to accurately read measurements and work with fractions.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
