About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Advancement for its Norman Campus. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and experienced fundraiser, responsible for advancing philanthropic support across multiple academic units. This role involves leading a team of fundraising professionals, setting and achieving annual fundraising goals, and maintaining a donor-first, collaborative approach. The Executive Director will also be expected to manage a significant portfolio of major and principal-gift relationships, with a focus on disciplined cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-impact philanthropic investments. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, 8-10 years' of experience in fundraising or advancement, and management experience. A strong background in comprehensive fundraising campaigns, particularly in a higher education setting, is preferred, along with a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification. The role requires a high level of accountability, a results-oriented work style, and the ability to work with senior leaders to advance complex, interdisciplinary fundraising priorities. Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the ethical standards of the fundraising profession are essential. The position also demands regular nationwide travel and a proven track record of delivering fundraising results.
