Travel Physical Therapist - $1,829 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13‑week assignment in Calhoun, Georgia, beginning ASAP. The travel PT will work 40 hours per week in 8‑hour shifts and will be compensated with a competitive travel pay package and tax‑free stipend. The role is a Travel Physical Therapist (PT). The assignment takes place at a facility in Calhoun, Georgia. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers, the PT creates personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy, and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Fluent reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Proficiency with PC skills. Physical / Technical Abilities Ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, and bend. Ability to perform fine manipulation and assist with procedures and/or use department equipment. Ability to cope with frequent contact with general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
