Overview
Service Specialists is recruiting for an experienced and highly professional Corporate Paralegal to support the legal operations of a well-established organization in the Jackson, Mississippi area. This position will work closely with internal legal leadership and executive teams, providing support across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation coordination, and day-to-day legal operations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Legal Support
- Provide legal and administrative support related to corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters
- Draft, review, revise, and maintain legal documents including contracts, NDAs, amendments, leases, and corporate resolutions
- Maintain corporate records, governance documents, entity filings, and minute books
- Assist with subsidiary and entity management, including annual filings, registrations, and compliance documentation
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Assist with compliance tracking, reporting deadlines, and regulatory documentation
- Support matters involving federal and state agencies including OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies
- Maintain organized compliance files, audit responses, and regulatory correspondence
- Help ensure legal and corporate processes remain compliant with company policies and applicable regulations
Litigation & Claims Coordination
- Support litigation management by organizing documents, tracking deadlines, and assisting with document production
- Coordinate with outside counsel regarding discovery requests, subpoenas, and case-related matters
- Maintain litigation files and assist with reporting and status tracking
Contract & Document Management
- Manage contract databases and legal document retention systems
- Track contract renewal dates, key terms, and notice requirements
- Ensure legal documents are properly executed, filed, and maintained
Administrative Support
- Coordinate calendars, legal deadlines, meetings, and filing schedules
- Prepare reports, summaries, and correspondence for legal leadership and executive teams
- Assist with signatures, approvals, notarizations, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution
- 7+ years of paralegal experience, preferably within a corporate legal environment
- Strong understanding of legal documentation, corporate recordkeeping, and confidentiality practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience supporting manufacturing, corporate, or highly regulated organizations
- Background working with outside counsel and litigation coordination
- Experience with document management systems and corporate governance processes
