As a Flat-Bed Driver, you will transport vehicles on behalf of our customers and the company. A typical workday will include driving within a 50-mile radius of our main campus. Some vehicles will be shipped off the property upon completion of tasks and at the direction of our customer. This work can include saleable units, scrap and salvage units, engineering vehicles, or bucks. The equipment used is a flatbed tow truck.

Salary Overview: The pay rate for this role starts at $20 per hour based on experience.

Hours: The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

Flat-Bed Driver Responsibilities Include:

• Transport vehicles within a 50-mile radius.
• Load and properly secure vehicles.
• Log vehicle movement between locations.
• Ensure paperwork and vehicles match.
• Operate flatbeds legally and safely.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service's DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Flat-Bed Driver Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a Valid Chauffeur Driver's License (with a medical card).
• Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.

Flat-Bed Driver Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:

• Willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work overhead, kneel, squat, or work from compromising positions for short periods.
• 50% of the time this job will be completed while sitting.
• 50% of the time this job will be completed while doing the following: standing, walking, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and cramped or in confined spaces.
