Overview The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Estimator in our Springfield Office. Job Summary Conducts high-level estimation and leads bidding process for small to mid-scale construction projects. Responsibilities Estimating: Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour jobs sites to confirm requisite take-offs. Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work using computerized estimating software. Database Management: Maintains database of project history and results. Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information. Procedures: Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process. Client Bid Management: Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services. Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.
