About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub surgical cases across a broad range of specialties including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
• Operate within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center environment supporting 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units or sister facilities as required
• Utilize EPIC for surgical charting and documentation
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols; radiation badge required and must be provided by the placing agency
• During hurricane season (June-November), be prepared for potential assignment to emergency response teams as directed by facility leadership

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required (must be supplied by agency)
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis

• Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
• Experience with ENT flap procedures
• Robotics experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system

• Work within a Magnet-designated, academic Level I Trauma Center offering exposure to a wide variety of complex surgical specialties and cutting-edge technology
• Expected weekly hours of 36 hours/week with facility call-off limited to no more than one shift per two-week period
