Security Alarm Outside Sales Representative

Job Overview The Outside Sales Representative will sell small‑to‑mid‑size commercial burglar alarm and residential fire alarm / burglar alarm offerings to current and new clientele, increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads. Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand product or service needs, and suggests appropriate products and services. Demonstrates functions and utility of products to customers based on needs. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues post‑sale. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers to alert them of new products, services and enhancements. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business and any customer or vendor relationship problems. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. Performs other duties assigned by management. Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field preferred OR two years of related experience required. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, sales and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to travel. Pay & Benefits Base Salary $60,000 - $70,000 plus commission.
