Senior AI Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need strong Python engineering skills, with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• We require expertise with vector storage systems and agent memory design.
• We need experience building long-running autonomous agents that use tools, skills, and human-in-the-loop support.
• We require proven experience deploying LLM-backed services to production, including APIs and microservices.
• We need deep MLOps experience, including CI/CD, monitoring, incident response, and model governance.
• We require cloud-native AI deployment experience on AWS or Azure, including cost and performance optimization.
• We expect a demonstrated commitment to responsible AI practices and operational excellence.
• We need strong communication and collaboration skills across product, risk, legal, and compliance teams.
• We require experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams, including human-in-the-loop validation, auditability, traceability, and secure handling of sensitive data.
• We need strong understanding of responsible AI controls in engineering workflows, including security, resiliency, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance, with the ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling and reuse.

• We provide technical direction to business and engineering teams by partnering with external groups to align priorities, remove blockers, and deliver strong engineering results.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and lead code reviews, including reviewing, debugging, and improving code written by others.
• We drive architecture and design decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations, including SDLC practices.
• We act as subject matter experts in one or more focus areas and help teams resolve complex technical challenges and make sound trade-offs.
• We assess and introduce emerging technologies where appropriate, using clear reasoning and risk-versus-benefit analysis to influence others.
• We build and operate production-grade LLM applications, including agentic patterns and tool integrations for enterprise use cases.
• We design and deliver cloud-native AWS services using containers and serverless approaches with a strong focus on scalability and operational resilience.
• We implement retrieval-augmented generation solutions, including embeddings, semantic search, and context engineering to improve answer quality and control.
• We build dependable service APIs and integrations with an emphasis on security, performance, and maintainability.
• We drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We establish measurable validation standards such as secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and proven-pattern reuse across the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• We apply knowledge of software development life cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
