We are seeking a caring and compassionate LPN to provide nursing care and supervision to clients in residence under the general supervision of the Program Manager/Supervising Registered Nurse. Responsibilities Gather information for a comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, including onset, course and effects of illness, past treatments and responses, risk behaviors, mental status and diagnosis; physical and dental health; drug or alcohol use; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living such as self‑care, living situation, nutrition, money management; and family structure and relationships. Provide direct clinical services to clients individually, in groups and with families in the office and community settings, teaching behavioral symptom‑management techniques to alleviate and manage symptoms not reduced by medication and promoting personal growth and development by helping clients adapt to and cope with internal and external stresses. Offer individual vocational‑supportive counseling to help clients identify vocational strengths and problems, establish vocational or career goals and plans to reach them, and recognize and target symptoms of mental illness that interfere with work. Assist clients in finding and maintaining a safe and affordable place to live—apartment hunting, roommate arrangements, landlord negotiations, cleaning, furnishing, decorating and procuring necessities such as telephone, furnishings and linens. Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities to structure clients’ time, increase social experiences and provide opportunities to practice social skills and receive feedback and support. Requirements One year of experience in inpatient or outpatient psychiatric care (preferred). Valid Florida driver’s license with six points or fewer in the last three years. Current Florida Licensed Practical Nursing license and active CPR certification. Pass Level 2 Background check through DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse.
