General Manager - Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center

The Opportunity Orange County, NY is seeking a visionary, high-energy General Manager for its newly acquired performing arts center. The position, officially titled "Recreation Supervisor", is not a desk job. It is a chance to be the heartbeat of one of the region’s most iconic entertainment and cultural hubs with supportive leadership that wants the venue to succeed as a place for music, theater and other forms of entertainment. The Role Be the Face of the Venue: Act as the primary onsite leader for performances, community events and private rentals. Creative Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing and booking partners to bring talent to Orange County. Lead the Team: Manage onsite staffing and interface with the maintenance crew and County management to keep our newly acquired facility in "opening night" condition. What You Bring A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Arts Administration, Theater, Business, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology or a similar field. Theater Experience: 1–3 years of experience in venue management, event production, or arts administration. Leadership: The ability to stay cool under the stage lights and manage a team with empathy and skill. About Orange County Orange County is 50 miles north of NYS.
