Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; 32-bed unit with average daily census of 29 patients; every other weekend required; 36-hour orientation period

Highlights:

• Adult to geriatric patient population in a busy Medical/Surgical unit
• Diverse case mix including wound care, chest tubes, IV therapy, PICC line management, blood product administration, and high-flow oxygen support
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience; charge nurse experience preferred
• Maximum 7 days of time off available per contract; Spring Break blackout dates apply (April 4-12)

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, nasal cannula, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, IV starts, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance documentation due prior to start date

• Local candidates accepted at same rate
