Senior Project Manager - Water Business

Location: Virginia Beach, VA, US Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies Project Manager – Water & Wastewater The Project Manager position is a high‑profile leadership role serving as part of the Water / Wastewater business leadership team. You will manage successful delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects in the multi‑million‑dollar range. Responsibilities Manage the successful delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects. Serve as part of the Virginia Beach collaborative team. Lead project performance reviews, budgeting, invoicing and payments. Oversee engineering managers, develop project performance goals, and ensure implementation. Interact with assigned clients, promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities. Support overall market business plan, client engagement strategies, and leverage internal resources. Active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives. Team development, mentoring and coaching on performance. Identify and develop new candidates to expand the team. Qualifications 15+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership experience in the Virginia Beach market. Professional Engineering License; Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. Understanding of budgets and financial metrics. Contract negotiation skill including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing and payment terms. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements. Preferred Qualifications 15 + years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership experience in the Virginia Beach market. Professional Engineering License; Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
