Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
This is a full time, nine-month, non-tenure track lecturer position to begin August 1, 2026. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering, particularly at the Freshman level, and assist the Capstone Design Courses. Responsibilities
Teach courses and labs in the Mechanical Engineering Department curricula and support of the Freshman, Capstone Design and Experimental Courses. Direct and supervise student projects, maintain and update labs, advise undergraduate students. Serve on department committees. Participate in professional and public service activities. The ideal candidate is one who shares the mission and vision of the Department, College, and University and helps the university grow.

Qualifications
An earned BS from an accredited institution in mechanical engineering, or closely related, with a master's in mechanical engineering or a related field by the start date of employment. The ability to perform the essential functions. The ability to communicate effectively and to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with faculty, students, administrators, staff and public. The ability to teach in a variety of platforms, including fact-to-face and online.
An earned doctorate in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution. Prior teaching and/or industrial experience related to Freshman and ME Practice engineering and mentoring of undergraduate student projects.
