Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Summer Contract

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL
Setting: Early Childhood Center with itinerant support
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Dates: May 27, 2026 – June 25, 2026

The Opportunity
Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support a school district in Lake in the Hills, IL for a summer contract assignment .

This is an itinerant role supporting students across early childhood, elementary, and high school levels, with a primary base in an early childhood center.

Ideal for candidates looking to pick up additional summer hours or a short-term school-based assignment.

The Work

Provide vision services to students across multiple grade levels
Support access to curriculum and classroom materials
Travel between assigned school sites as needed
Collaborate with educators and support staff

The Fit

Illinois PEL with Blind/Visually Impaired endorsement (required)
1–2 years of experience as a TVI preferred
Experience working across multiple grade levels a plus
ACVREP or AER certification preferred
