Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care

Ambulatory Oncology RN – Hematology/Oncology

Shift: 5x8s, Monday–Friday (shift start/end times may vary by department needs)

Requirements:

• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years ambulatory oncology RN experience
• Chemo administration experience required
• Hepatobiliary and surgical clinic/post-op triage experience required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC/OCN)
• Clinical skills:
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring (including extravasation management)
• Continuous infusion/CADD pump management
• Port and central line care/access
• Telephone triage and post-op/surgical clinic management
• Patient education for chemo/surgery/BMT/CAR-T
• Experience across age ranges (peds–geriatrics)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care within the Hematology/Oncology setting.
• Administer infusions of chemotherapy and other medications, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and manage side effects appropriately.
• Conduct telephone triage for patients and offer guidance as needed.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-operative care.
• Support minor in-office procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 40 hours
• Pre-approved time off: Two shifts per contract
• Background checks and references required
• Maximum two weeks total RTO; no RTO within first two weeks of assignment
