We are seeking a dedicated and caring Direct Support Professional (DSP I) to join a residential support team in Santa Clara, California. In this rewarding position, you'll work directly with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing hands-on support, supervision, and encouragement as they navigate daily activities and pursue personal goals. What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional, you will: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, and routine tasks Support the development of social, interpersonal, and independent living skills Implement Behavior Support Plans and Health Care Plans Provide consistent supervision and active programming throughout each shift Follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and resident-specific goals Document resident progress and program participation as directed by leadership Promote a safe, positive, and respectful living environment Encourage independence while ensuring resident safety and well-being Position Details Schedule Shift: 6:30 AM 2:30 PM Days: Tuesday through Saturday Hours: 40 per week Assignment Information Location: Santa Clara, CA Pay Rate: $24/hour Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: July 7, 2026 Openings: 1 Position Type: DSP Non-Driving Qualifications Required High School Diploma, GED, or verified official transcripts Minimum 6 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Current CPR/AED Certification Must be at least 18 years old Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage daily tasks effectively Strong commitment to professional and ethical standards Current Health Certificate, if required TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray, if applicable Ability to satisfy all federal, state, and local employment requirements Highly Preferred Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional in an adult residential setting Candidates with adult residential DSP experience will receive priority consideration Facility & Onboarding Information Comprehensive orientation provided during the first weeks of assignment First-day instructions supplied prior to start date No specific uniform requirements Timekeeping system: MaxView Supportive residential care environment focused on resident development and quality of life Application Requirements To be considered, please submit: Current Resume Interview Availability Earliest Available Start Date Requested Time Off (RTO) Applicable Licensure and Certifications Interview Process Client interview required Interviews conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams with the recruiter and hiring leadership Why Join This Opportunity?
